This is the layout of my birding fanlisting. It's an imitation of the fixed-height container layouts that used to be popular, but it expands to full size on mobile. The banner image will also resize and relocate to sit horizontally on top of the content area! Like magic!

You'll probably have to screw around with background positioning to get the banner to work (a relatively square image works best if you want it to multitask). Or just make 2 separate banner images! The code accommodates that. The world is your oyster.
